One piece of good news 👍:

Two suspected admins of the WWH-Club stolen credit card marketplace were arrested by US Law Enforcement after they went on a cash spending spree in Florida. The suspects, Russian and Kazakhstan natives spent large amounts of cash without providing any evidence of employment. Their affluent lifestyle included making large purchases of luxury items using cash, opening a Bank of America account with an initial cash deposit of $50,000, renting a luxury house, visiting various tourist attractions and purchasing (in cash) a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette for $110,000

One final note:

$27 million. That's the cost to date for US Mortgage Lender LoanDepot to recover from a recent ransomware attack. (That's a lot of money and one could deploy some REALLY good security controls for that amount. Oh wait, horse stable bolted etc). The data breach included names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and financial account numbers of up to 16 million individuals
